Reno, NV August 25, 2015 –Basin Street Properties, a prominent northern Nevada and northern California real estate investment, development and management firm has hired former Nevada Wolf Pack quarterback Tyler Lantrip as a financial analyst.  Lantrip will provide analysis and oversight of Basin Street’s growing pool of assets and help implement ongoing technology upgrades.

When Tyler Lantrip was first drawn to Reno in 2006 from Roseville, it was as a recruit to play football at Nevada.  Now he has traded in his helmet and pads for a career in finance and a family.  Tyler has spent the past two years in Denver working for Sierra Nevada Corporation, while his wife completed her nurse practitioner’s degree at University of Colorado, Denver.  “Basin Street allows me to build on the experience I developed over the past few years at Sierra Nevada Corporation and it enables my family and I to return to Reno.  My wife Elaina is a Nevada alum as well, and both of our families live in Northern California,” says Tyler.  Tyler and Elaina have a two year old daughter and are expecting their second child in January.

“We’re pleased to have Tyler joining our team.  His financial experience and innovative approach align well with our goals and our team.  It’s a bonus that he has roots here and gets such a warm welcome coming back to the community.” Said Par Tolles, Basin Street’s President.

“Hiring Tyler as a financial analyst is part of striving to continually improve our process and deliver the best recommendations and results to our investors,” said Scott Beggs. “Tyler’s competitive nature and financial aptitude make him the perfect fit.”

Lantrip was born and raised in Roseville, where both parents have successful careers in banking and finance. He attended Jesuit High School, followed by five years at University of Nevada, where he earned a dual-B.S and M.B.A in Finance. Upon graduation, Lantrip joined Sierra Nevada Corporation where he gained considerable experience in financial modeling and analysis.  “I’m very happy to be back in Reno,” said Lantrip. “It’s a great city to raise a family and is a community that has always made me feel at home.”
