Petaluma, CA – Basin Street Properties, a prominent Northern California real estate investor and developer of commercial and mixed-use properties, has signed a lease with Sauced BBQ and Spirits for 6,300 square feet in its Theatre District building announced Scott Stranzl, Vice President of Leasing for Basin Street Properties. Sauced BBQ and Spirits is expanding from its original location in Livermore, CA to bring Petaluma a unique twist on Southern BBQ, beer and bourbon.
“Sauced BBQ and Spirits has redefined fine whiskey in this creative new concept,” said Stranzl. “We’re excited to be a part of bringing it to Petaluma.” Mark Pleis from Lee & Associates represented Sauced BBQ and Spirits and the Basin Street brokers were Sara Wann and Rhonda Deringer of Keegan & Coppin Co., Inc.
Sauced BBQ and Spirits was originally founded in 2012 in Livermore. The success of that location prompted owners Barrett Gomes and Brenden Scanlan to consider an expansion. “Petaluma’s Downtown area reminded us of Livermore and that made us want to open our second location here,” shared Gomes. “There’s lots of activity in Downtown Petaluma and the area attracts foodies. We’re looking forward to being in a town that appreciates good food, beer and whiskey.”
Currently, Sauced BBQ and Spirits’ 110 employees help serve up the restaurant’s own brands of premium beer as well as eight whiskeys on tap. The restaurant boasts a selection of over 200 whiskeys, some of which are difficult to obtain. Patrons will enjoy the “Hillbilly Chic” atmosphere at Sauced BBQ and Spirits which features reclaimed wood accents and rustic touches.
Gomes also shared, patrons will enjoy 25 large screen TVs broadcasting sporting events as well as live country music on Friday and Saturday nights. “We are looking forward to giving Petaluma foodies and sports and music aficionados a new go-to destination for some of the best BBQ and spirits they’ll ever experience,” said Gomes. The restaurant is set for their grand opening in May 2015.
The Theatre District is in the heart of Petaluma. This mixed-use lifestyle center features a variety of dining, retail and health and wellness businesses. Situated along the historic Petaluma River, visitors can shop, dine, play and even live in one of the townhomes, ranging from studio to three-bedroom units, in the District. Visitors and residents can enjoy a number of events that are held at the District throughout the year as well.
