Novato, CA (date March 20, 2017) – Basin Street Properties, a prominent Northern California real estate investor and developer, has signed a lease for 4,723 square feet with Eric Johnson Associates, Inc. at 201 Alameda Del Prado. Eric Johnson Associates, Inc. (EJA) is a well-established Marin County lighting design firm since 2000 whose clients are owners of high-end residential and exclusive commercial properties.

“We’re very pleased to see a company like Eric Johnson Associates, Inc. join us at 201 Alameda Del Prado,” said Scott Stranzl, Vice President of Leasing for Basin Street Properties.  “This new space accommodates their growth and the location provides quick freeway access to meet with clients, visit project locations and shorten their daily commutes.”

EJA’s growth in some ways parallels the resurging real estate industry and broader economy.  “Our lighting design business has been steadily very busy for the past three years,” said Johnson.  We recently expanded our staff and we hope to hire another designer in the coming year.  We completely outgrew the office space we have now.”

EJA is known for beautiful lighting design, a cooperative team approach on every project, and their extensive knowledge of the latest lighting technologies. “We strive to add value to each project and property,” said Johnson. “And we have established lasting partnerships with architects, interior designers, and landscape architects to best understand and complement their efforts and exceed the client’s expectations.”

“A prime advantage of our new office is the location,” said Johnson.  “Our wide range of project locations make it very important for us to have easy access to the freeway.  Not only that, but our employees come from the North Bay and East Bay, so that is another reason why the location works so well for us. Our lighting design projects are all over the Bay Area and we attend a lot of design and construction meetings from Napa, to the Peninsula and even as far south as Carmel.”

The surrounding open space was another motive in choosing their new location, which falls in line with modern office efforts to find a healthier work/life balance.  “We love the building and the setting at 201 Alameda Del Prado,” said Johnson.  “It’s beautiful and we love being close to biking and hiking trails.”

Finally, the easily accessible and plentiful parking is a bonus.  “We have design meetings in our office and sales reps stopping by often to show us new lighting products. It’s important that they have easy access to our office as well,” said Johnson.

EJA’s projects are sophisticated residential and commercial properties taking them throughout almost all nine Bay Area counties and select locations throughout the United States.  “We’ve worked hard to build up our clientele through the quality, commitment and results of our work,” said Johnson.  “We don’t advertise our services and new business is 100% word of mouth.”

Representing Basin Street Properties were Mark Carrington and Alisa Belew of Newmark Cornish & Carey. Eric Johnson Associates was represented by Haden Ongaro also of Newmark Cornish and Carey.
