David Mieding joins Basin Street as Project Manager for Construction and Leasing

RENO, NV – David Mieding has joined Basin Street Properties as the primary project manager for construction, announced Matt White, CEO of Basin Street Properties, a major real estate investment firm based in Reno, NV, that develops, acquires and manages properties in Northern Nevada and California. “Basin Street has grown so much in the past two years, acquiring nearly 20 new assets equaling almost one million SF of new property,” said White. “Those combined with our existing holdings mean there are always properties in some stage of construction. Expertise in all phases of construction is a welcome addition to the team.”
“David comes to us with the perfect combination of construction and lease management expertise. In addition to project management for Basin Street’s construction projects working with our construction VP, Matt Sherrill, he will also be working on leasing with Scott Stranzl, VP of leasing for Basin Street.” added White. “He’ll focus primarily on the Sacramento and Reno markets.
Mieding began his commercial real estate career as an associate in the commercial properties group at CBRE in Reno and went on to form his own development company, Mieding Development Corporation, also in Reno, which included raising capital to form the corporation and completing profitable projects totaling over $3 million. In addition, he was the assistant program manager with Capital Program Management in Sacramento where, over a three year span, he planned and executed capital development programs for the Vacaville Unified School District, the California State Lottery Campus and Mercy General Hospital, both in Sacramento and the Center Unified School District in Antelope, CA, projects totaling $958 million. Most recently, Mieding was the manager of commercial properties for the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority where he managed 400,000 SF of industrial, office and retail space totaling $3 million in annual lease contracts.
Mieding received his Master of Business Administration from California State University, Sacramento, and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the University of California, Davis. Additionally, he has a Nevada B2 General Contractor License and holds a commercial pilot certificate with multi-engine, instrument and flight instructor ratings.
