Reno, NV – Basin Street Properties, a prominent Northern Nevada real estate investor and developer of commercial and mixed-use properties, has signed a lease with The Bridge Restaurant and Bar for 4,925 square feet in its 50 West Liberty building announced Scott Stranzl, Vice President of Leasing for Basin Street Properties. The Bridge is a new contemporary bistro serving up unique plates by Chef Aurianne, formerly of the Gastro Pub.
“We are happy to have such a distinctive restaurant in this space,” said Stranzl. “The Bridge is the perfect place for employees to grab a reasonably priced, excellent quality lunch as well as a great atmosphere for folks out on the town for dinner. I know many of our tenants have already eaten there and are loving it.”
The restaurant’s location, which was previously occupied by Scampi’s, “bridges” Downtown and Midtown Reno, and was hence aptly named, The Bridge. Founded in 2014 by Cherrie Bailey and Cliff and Jennifer McCain, it currently has a staff of 22. The restaurant features an eclectic, contemporary American menu accentuated with creative dishes incorporating wild game including Bison Chili and Elk Burgers as well as seasonal specialties. The lunch menu also includes a line of Express Lunches aimed at giving employees quickly served, quality options ready in 10 minutes and available for call-ahead.
“Our goal is to provide our guests with a comfortable dining experience that is both elegant and casual at the same time,” shared Bailey, co-owner of The Bridge. “We knew we wanted to be located in Downtown and serve the many workers in the neighborhood. Our lunch menu was developed to meet their time-crunch while serving them a tasty lunch for $8 to $12. And, we’re standing by to be the Midtown hipster and the Downtown Banker’s number one destination for dinner and drinks with colleagues and friends.” In addition to The Bridge, Bailey is also the owner of the Ponderosa Saloon in Virginia City.
To give the space a fresh appearance and make the most of natural lighting, Bailey removed the glass wall facing Virginia Street with a series of windows. She also hired local photographer Pierre Cirac to decorate the interior with one-of-a-kind photos from around the city. The Bridge opened on November 6, 2014 and will celebrate with a Grand Opening in February 2015.
50 West Liberty is a 12-story and 4-story 249,349 square feet Class A offering building located in Downtown Reno and in immediate proximity to City Hall, the County Courthouse, and the Federal Court Building, 50 West Liberty is positioned as the preeminent building in Downtown Reno. In addition to featuring panoramic views of the surrounding Sierra Mountains, Truckee Meadows and downtown Reno, the building features close access to Interstate-80, the Amtrak station and all major bus lines.
