BOMA Scholarships for 2 Basin Street Team Members

Sacramento, CA (February 10, 2020) – Ashley Wheaton and Monique Yancy, Property Management Administrative Assistants for Basin Street Properties, have received the Building Owners and Managers Association of Sacramento & the Central Valley (BOMA) 2020 Careers in Commercial Real Estate Professional Scholarship.
“We are thrilled to see two of our team members win this award,” said Elaine Nelson, Regional Property Manager for Basin Street Properties. “Both Ashley and Monique represent strong young professionals in commercial real estate and are deserving of the opportunity to continue their education. BOMA’s 2020 Professional Scholarship will help grow their careers in the commercial real estate industry.”
The BOMA Careers in Commercial Real Estate (CCRE) Committee works to increase awareness of the benefits associated with and foster the development of individuals seeking careers in commercial real estate. The CCRE Committee is pleased to support and promote the availability of the 2020 Professional Scholarship throughout the commercial real estate community and help identify and select worthy candidates.
In order to be eligible for the scholarship, Wheaton and Yancy had to be current commercial real estate professionals in good standing, seeking career advancement, and have the ability to give back to the field in the future. “I’m excited to be able to pursue this certification through BOMA,” said Wheaton. “I look forward to developing new property management skills and the opportunity to further my education.”
The scholarship awards included one of the following: Reimbursement of one Real Property Administrator (RPA) course, Certified Manager of Commercial Properties (CMCP) Certification, partial reimbursement towards one Real Property Administrator (RPA) course, Foundations in Real Estate- Management Series, BOMA Sacramento Membership, or California Real Estate sales person license.
