Our company seeks a professional, seasoned, and self-starting High Rise Building Concierge with outstanding customer service skills to join our Property Management team. The right person will be one that has prior customer service experience with the public, preferably from the hospitality industry with prior guest services experience, who takes initiative with a positive attitude, pays great attention to detail, anticipates company/building/tenant service needs, and is reliable in all aspects of their character and job performance.
Job Description Summary
This High-Rise Building Concierge will be a visible presence and first point of contact for tenants and visitors to the lobby of our high rise commercial building. As such, our High Rise Building Concierge must at all times display a professional appearance, speak in a polite manner and clear tone, including answering telephones or greeting people who have entered the lobby. This position will be expected to screen visitors, perform property walks, and answer questions while possessing a working knowledge of the building’s operating procedures, policies, amenities, and local surroundings to assist tenants and their guests/clients.
Required Functional Knowledge/Skills
· Represent our high rise building and Property Management team by greeting tenants, tenant clients/guests, and other visitors in a welcoming and professional manner
· Establishes a pleasant atmosphere and sense of welcome to building tenants and guests while discouraging unauthorized access
· Prior outstanding hospitality experience with a focus on guest/customer services
· Ability to assist with tenant and guest questions and concerns with confidence
· Monitor lobby activity, documenting and acting on security issues, incidents, or hazards
· Anticipate tenant and Property Management needs in a proactive manner
· Responds to and directs tenant complaints or concerns
· Provide various concierge services to our tenants
· Knowledge of Downtown Reno, the Reno area, and other local features
· Help direct tenant packages/deliveries, contractors, and building guests with accuracy
· Access control outside regular building hours
· Maintains and treats confidentially all private and or privileged information
· Assists Property Management team with various tenant and building activities
· Understanding and familiarity of building operating systems, assisting in emergencies

· Understands the importance of a professional appearance and demeanor at all times
· Must be reliable, punctual, and always maintain a professional appearance
· Able to identify critical issues quickly and accurately
· Ability to focus attention on tenant needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
· Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
· Detail oriented, able to work multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining an extremely professional and customer service oriented attitude
· Able to perform duties with minimal direct supervision
· Follows safety rules, building policies and procedures, and company service standards
· Exhibit outstanding communication skills (Speaking, listening, and writing)
· Flexible and collaborative work style, able to build strong relationships with team members and coworkers, share knowledge and be willing to learn from others
· Has common sense in matters of safety and able to understand instruction furnished in writing, verbally or in diagram form
· Provides friendly and professional tenant services support
Education and Experience Requirements
· High school diploma
· 5-10 years customer service experience, preferably from the hospitality industry
Work Environment and Physical Demands
· Professional office environment using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines
· Mainly active standing and walking role though some filing and supply maintenance requires the ability to lift files and supplies, open cabinets, bend, crouch, stand, and walk
· May require light lifting, up to 25 pounds
Other Information
· Not a supervisory role
· Pay Range: $18.00 to $19.50 per hour
· Part-time position of 20 hours per week, Wednesday through Friday
· Occasional overtime may be required
· This role is not eligible for company benefits
· Must legally be allowed to work in the U.S.
