Our company seeks a professional, friendly, and reliable Day Porter with great customer service skills to join our Operations team. The right person will be one that can work independently and takes pride in his or her job performance.

Job Description Summary

The Day Porter is expected to maintain our business areas to ensure they are kept clean, neat, and safe for our tenants and their customers. The duties expected of this position are picking up trash, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, or using industrial cleaning equipment and materials, cleaning, stocking supplies, and monitoring the properties for appearance. Other duties that may be requested include minor errands, delivery of items to tenants, moving items, or fulfilling one-off requests or staff or tenants.

Required Functional Knowledge/Skills

· Provide friendly professional and courteous customer service to all tenants and visitors

· Must be able to operate industrial cleaning equipment

· Fix small building problems and report larger issues

· Maintain a neat and clean appearance at all time

· Report all accidents, observed unusual occurrences, safety hazards, or violations

· Respond to tenant and customer questions in a prompt and courteous manner, referring to Property Management when necessary


· Excellent customer service skills and communicate in a professional manner

· Must be reliable, punctual, and always must maintain a professional appearance

· Exhibit proficient communication skills (Speaking, listening, and writing)

· Works well with minor supervision

· Flexible and collaborative work style, able to build strong relationships with team members and coworkers, share knowledge and be willing to learn from others

· Must have common sense in matters of safety and be able to understand instruction furnished in writing, verbally or in diagram form

· Must have reliable transportation

· Provide friendly and professional tenant services support

· Able to maintain and promote safety practices in all aspects of the position

Education and Experience Requirements

· At least 1 year Customer Service experience

· High school diploma

· Prior Day Porter experience a plus

Work Environment and Physical Demands

· Must be able to endure regular walking and prolonged standing in an outdoor environment, climbing, bending, squatting, stretching, twisting,

· Must be able to use tools and equipment to perform job such as: industrial cleaning equipment, mops, buffers, moving tools, ladders, and small hand tools

· May be required to lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs

· Non-exempt position

· Full time position, hours will vary depending on company needs

· Not a supervisory role

· Must legally be allowed to work in the U.S.
