Trattoria Roma Opening at Petaluma Theatre Square

Petaluma, CA (April 23, 2019) – Basin Street Properties, a prominent Northern Nevada real estate investor and developer, has signed a lease with Trattoria Roma for 1,642 square feet in Petaluma Theatre Square. 

Edward Pizzuti and his family, known for their delicious Cafe Giostra and other Bay Area restaurant successes, bring their authentic Italian family recipes, restaurant expertise and sense of ambiance to Petaluma Theatre Square.

“We are excited to have Edward, his wife Josie & his son Tony bring their Italian dining expertise to Petaluma Theatre Square” said Scott Stranzl, Vice President of Leasing for Basin Street Properties. “True authentic Italian food will be a great addition for the Theatre District and downtown Petaluma.”

Some of the featured dishes will be a wide assortment of homemade pastas such as house made ravioli, lasagna and gnocchi, along with other traditional Roman dishes.  An assortment of fresh seafood dishes, including the pescatore & abalone style calamari steak.  Veal dishes, including a veal chop valdostana and a grilled “prime” cut N.Y. strip steak and Ed’s delicious roasted rack of lamb.  Fresh vegetables from Ed’s garden such as heirloom tomatoes & spring lettuces when in season.

“We are excited about opening Trattoria Roma in downtown Petaluma,” said Edwardo Pizzuti, owner of Trattoria Roma and previously of Café Giostra.  “We look forward to sharing our experience and authentic Tuscan and Roman style, family recipes with Petaluma.”  The Trattoria Roma restaurant will focus on exceptional ingredients, delicious family recipes and warm welcoming restaurant and staff.

Theatre Square is a three-story mixed-use project located at the corner of Petaluma Boulevard and D Street Immediately across from the Boulevard Cinemas, it’s in the heart of the highly desirable Theatre District. The first floor consists of street front retail space with ample parking in an adjacent 530-stall parking garage as well as on both First and Second Streets as well as C Street. The area offers a variety of boutiques and restaurants that feature open-air café seating in the plaza around a lovely fountain. It’s a lovely pedestrian-friendly environment next to the city’s only movie theater and the beautiful Petaluma River.
