Petaluma, CA, May 18, 2015 – Basin Street Properties, a prominent Northern California and Northern Nevada real estate investment, development and management firm has appointed Sonoma County native Kyle Young as Director of North Bay Leasing, effective May 18.  Young will oversee Basin Street’s growing asset leasing operations in the North Bay as he services the demand of a portfolio that has more than doubled in size in the past three years due to recent acquisitions.

“Hiring an additional leasing professional fits within our strategy of striving to continually improve our availability and service to our tenants and the brokerage community as the economy continues its recovery,” said Stranzl. “Kyle’s background as a broker and his lifelong ties to the area make him the perfect fit.”

Stranzl will continue in his role as Vice President of Leasing, providing regional oversight and strategic insight while focusing on facilitating the leasing process for tenants and brokers alike. “The discernment Kyle brings in terms of what tenants and brokers need when leasing space is vital to us in delivering a smooth and predictable transaction for our clients,” Stranzl said.

“The commercial real estate activity in Marin and Sonoma Counties continues at a pace we haven’t seen since before the Great Recession,” said Young. “I’m thrilled to play a role in it by helping Basin Street Properties solve the real estate needs of many of our community’s companies and their people.”

Young was born and raised in Sonoma County, part of a 4th generation family, which has actively invested in various real estate transactions throughout the region. He attended Cardinal Newman High School, followed by two years of education and football at the University of Oregon.  He completed his degree in Business Management at Arizona State University in 2011 where he took real estate classes to pursue his family-borne interest in the subject. Upon graduation, Young joined Keegan & Coppin Co., Inc. from 2012- 2015 where he gained considerable proficiency in both the sales and leasing of office, retail and industrial properties.
