August 6, 2018 – Basin Street Properties, a prominent northern Nevada and northern California real estate investment, development and management firm is pleased to announce that Blake Riva is joining the firm as its new President.   Blake comes to Basin Street from Mountainside Partners where he developed and managed multiple real estate projects in the Lake Tahoe area including The Village at Northstar, The Ritz Carlton, Lake Tahoe, Gray’s Crossing and Old Greenwood.   “Blake has over 30 years of successful real estate and development experience as Managing Partner at Mountainside Partners and Managing Partner and CFO at East West Partners,” said Matt White, CEO of Basin Street Properties.  “He has outstanding experience in delivering world class real estate projects and I believe he is the ideal candidate to help continue Basin Street’s growth and success.”

Riva joins Basin Street as President and as a Partner.  “I have closely followed Basin Street’s success over the years,” said Riva.  “I admire their thoughtful growth and how they deftly manage real estate economic cycles.  They bring a consistent, open and honest approach to customer satisfaction and investor relations.”  Blake’s involvement in the growth and expansion at East West Partners gives him a deep understanding and appreciation of the importance of building a strong culture across regions, markets and departments.  He has extensive experience in all facets of real estate development including feasibility analysis, acquisition, planning, entitlements, financing, design, construction, sales and marketing and investor relations.  Blake has called Northern Nevada home for nearly 20 years.

Basin Street has doubled in size over the past 10 years with consistent and steady growth, and now has almost five million square feet under management across Petaluma, Santa Rosa, Sacramento and Reno.  “We continue to develop new projects and make new acquisitions across northern California and northern Nevada,” said White.  “Blake’s detailed approach and ability to build teams across markets, combined with his in-depth understanding of every aspect of the real estate development and management process, make him perfectly suited to continue Basin Street on its current growth trajectory.”
